Dead Horse Point - Utah

The legend says herds of wild horses were driven to this sheer sided peninsular, their only escape blocked and left to die of thirst. If true, the horses must have been driven mad by the site and smell of the Colorado River hundreds of feet below and out of their reach. During our visit, it rained hard but the water dried too quickly on the sun baked rocks.
