Early morning is the perfect time for incredible images. It's not just the exquisitely soft lighting but also the variety of temperatures which created wispy vapors rising from the surface of the Androscoggin River above Berlin, NH. The tiny islands called boom piles are remnants of logging history when the waterways were used as transportation.
