Butterflies Are Free

On a sleepy summer morning, this beautiful clump of purple lilacs was enhanced by the lively activity of bees, humming birds and butterflies. On this particular morning, the colony of life to my right was not the actual subject of my photo shoot, However, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up. The intensity of yellow and black, on the swallowtail, are a stark contrast to the textured lavender and plum petals.
